SARR Fiesta Fandango 2.6 Mile Run

What, Where and When :

END THE FIESTA WEEKEND IN GREAT SHAPE!
The SARR Fiesta Fandango Run takes place immediately prior to the Fiesta Flambeau night parade and travels the parade route, ending at Columbus Park on the west side of downtown. Race before thousands of cheering people who line the entire length of the 2.6-mile course. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes or run in groups with a theme. At the post-race party, there will be costume awards and plenty of music, merriment, and refreshments. When you’ve had all the fun you can stand, buses will return you to the registration area, or you can stay and watch the beautiful lighted floats and marching bands.
Start Time: 6:40PM, April 24,2010 (Just prior to Flambeau Night Parade Vanguard)
Transportation: Sunken Gardens, 5:00PM-6:20PM.
Buses will take runners to the starting line (approx. 1.5 miles) Last bus to leave @ 6:25PM.
Buses will return to parking lot departing Columbus Park from 7:00-8:00PM.
Costumes: Registration and review of costumes 4:30PM at Costume Judging Sign @ Sunken Gardens. Awards to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and honorable mention.
The Theme for this year's costume competition is MUSIC LEGENDS!
Proceeds support the San Antonio RoadRunners Scholarship Fund.
